Private Lessons

My Private Lessons and Schooling is all done on location at my house. I prefer to take a max of 2 students at a time. This is for your benefit! We will cover all aspects of archery and tailor the time around what is going to best help you. We will cover all the topics that I cover in my shop seminars and there will be a lot of hands on training. Topics covered will be compound bow set up and tuning, string making, shooting form, shot execution, training schedules, physical preparation, ECT… Shooting resources are unlimited at my current location with a full outdoor fita range, 3D range, full field ranges, and 40 meter indoor shooting availability. You will stay at my place and we will apply both full days to your individual needs. You will need to fly directly into the local airport and will stay for two full days. My individual students will have the option to contact me via email to evaluate follow up photos after attending my school for feedback. My private schools are limited to availability and I will expect the individuals to act professionally, respectfully and courteous to myself and my residence.

Shop Seminars

My off location seminars are 2 day seminars where you can expect to experience a total assessment of each students equipment set-up and shooting form. Each class will start with an overall step by step instruction of properly setting up your bow from start to finish. Each student will benefit from learning multiple techniques for equipment set up and tuning methods.

After the bow set up is complete we will move into all the accessories to your bow including the sights, scopes, arrows rest, stabilization arrows and how to properly build and maintain each of them. Properly building and maintaining strings and cables will also be covered.

I will work in shops carrying all brands of bows. I feel that my experience from my previous positions at Mathews and my current positions with Hoyt will benefit the retailer and shooter with an in depth understanding of the products and how to fully service the equipment. My seminars include a virtual tour of a step by step slide show of how your bow is produced.

After equipment set up is complete and the students are under a full understanding of their bows I will start working on each persons shooting form. We will take a few hours of shooting and working as a class on shooting the bow and I will take digital photos and video footage to review as a class critiquing each archer’s mechanics. At that point we will go into proper shooting forms and the fundamentals I have discovered over the years and apply them to each student.

The second day will include mostly shooting and individual assessment and photos and video feedback. I will have several breaks in shooting throughout the second day to cover many topics including, training and practice techniques, fitness and nutrition in relations to your archery, mental preparation and a winning mindset, secret tips to field archery and 3D archery. My students have befitted the most when they are interactive and continually asking questions and group discussion will be encouraged.

This class can be as large as 20 people but will be more specific to each individual if the numbers are closer to 10 people. I will require the location to provide a projector screen for my laptop, TV & VCR, multiple bow presses, some concessions and an indoor shooting facility. I require the location to have a closed class and limit the access only to the paid students.

Cost: $3,000 per 2 day session + Airfare.

Special Appearances

I do make special trips to clubs, shops and National team facilities upon request. These requests are customized to the amount of time I am scheduled for. For clubs I have a presentation that last about 6 hours that will be very beneficial to the members in attendance. These are currently very popular and availability is very limited.
